Writers Kingston event #55 : MUSEUMS

A memorable and brilliant literary night of readings and performance with new works made for this event exploring Museums and Museum culture. This event was also be a launch for SJ Fowler’s new novella MUEUM, from Tenement press.

St Cecilia’s Evening: A celebration of live music

19th November 2022, 6-7pm.

This is the concert recording of the collaborative outcome between Agnieszka Studzinska and Fiz Markham. The choral composition was created by Fiz Markham and was entitled Snow Scene. It was composed in response and in dialogue with Agnieszka Studzińska’s poem Oil on Canvas THC0052, which in turn, responded to Ludwig Munthe’s painting Snow Scene (1873).

Freke Räihä & Simon Tyrrell / Agnieszka Studzinka and Fiona Larkin / Nina Fidry, Sophie Shine and Emily Baldwin / Katerina Koulouri Visiting contemporary Swedish poets presented brand new performance collaborations with British-based counterparts, made for the night to a packed out audience at Kingston University’s RIBA award winning Town House. Students of Kingston University also presented new collaborations to support the visiting poets / Supported by the Swedish Embassy UK.
